Vicoridge Kennels Is also the First and ONLY importer of the Hungarian Wire-Haired Vizsla . We in 2001 imported the dog known as Silvanus Lord Nelson [IMP UK] from England, we tried desperately for 4 years to have the breed recognized to no avail, so Nelson was Sold to a pet obedience home under contract, on the conditions he was to go nowhere else, nor be in a kennel environment, he was to be part of the family as he was with us, we were reluctant to part with Nelson but because of a family illness, we felt he would so enjoy the sport of obedience. And there came into the story, a lady named Linda Atkinson, she had telephoned and we discussed the possibility of her having Nelson as part of her family as she apparently only had 1 old dog [a Vizsla] and wished to do obedience again. We had several discussions and we made the agreement, that Nelson would be trailed at her home and if he didn't suit for any reason he was to be returned to us. It so happened that Linda Atkinson wrote us and informed that she didn't need the trial as Nelson had fit perfectly into her home . We were happy at the time that he would be doing something he loved. A few weeks later I hadn't heard back from Linda Atkinson so I emailed to see how he was doing, I received an email back saying she had sent him to Tasmania with another person, a Vizsla Breeder who bred her Vizsla, and the breeder stated she was very excited about Nelson and feels that she'd like to try to get the breed registered. So the agreement we made was broken, and so too was my heart, to think that I actually trusted what another person had said and agreed to. I telephoned Linda Atkinson and she informed me that because she broke the agreed contract she would be getting the dog back, well as the case is, she did not get the dog back, the dog is living in a kennel environment, and the whole case is now in the hands of our legal representatives. All we wanted was a full and quality life for Nelson, not to be cooped up in a kennel Environment, to live inside with a family, to have the activities he enjoyed.
